Everything about Taylor Chiche, from market stalls to investment clubs

He left school at fifteen, spent fifteen years in nightlife and restaurants, then moved into property, then into stakes. Today he no longer sells courses: he sells access to his network. Here is what he actually holds, and the three mistakes you read everywhere about him.

Three mistakes you read everywhere

Before his story, it's worth correcting what circulates.

He didn't found Shares
The fintech was created in 2021 by Benjamin Chemla, Harjas Singh and François Ruty. He is a partner and investor there. The distinction matters: being a partner in a company that raised around $90 million is not the same as having founded it.
MentorClass no longer exists
The training programme launched in 2021 was wound up in August 2024, then struck off in early 2025. Pages still presenting it as his main business are two years out of date.
The thirty restaurants
That's the number historically claimed by the Laparizienne Hospitality collective, around brands like Waffle Factory and Pizza Hut Express. It's neither a personal portfolio nor a current state: the composition has changed a great deal.

A word of caution on vocabulary, too. Several of his companies have been closed, but a voluntary winding-up is not a bankruptcy. Both exist in his record, and confusing them would be as wrong as claiming he has never stopped anything.

His path, step by step

  1. Fifteen, the market stalls

He leaves school at around fifteen or sixteen and sells underwear on market stalls. He then goes to Los Angeles very young. Nothing about that departure resembles a business-school path.

  2. Fifteen years in nightlife

He starts handing out flyers for a nightclub, works for others, then takes over his own venues. That's where he learns what will become his trade: turning an ordinary place into a destination through branding and a contact book.

  3. 2012: La Parizienne

His first documented project in France, on place du Marché-Saint-Honoré in Paris. The trade press described it at the time as the canteen of the capital's English-speaking creative crowd. The company operating it was struck off in 2020.

  4. 2015: property

He builds a property trading and development business — buy, renovate, resell — which he presents as one of the pillars of his wealth after his restaurant years.

  5. 2021: visibility online

He launches MentorClass and becomes far more present in the online business world. The same year, he joins Shares as a partner. Those two moves answer each other: one sells advice, the other confers investor legitimacy.

  6. 2025 and 2026: the club and the fintech

IMPORTANT Club is created in June 2025. In February 2026 he announces joining Incard as a partner, at the time of a ten-million-pound round. These are his two current projects.

What he does today

IMPORTANT Club

A private club bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and executives around two promises: the network and access to investment opportunities. Events in Paris, London and Miami. Founded with Jody Cavalie, he is its chairman.

His central project

Incard

A British fintech building a financial system for digital businesses: accounts, cards, treasury, invoicing. He has been a partner there since February 2026, working on growth and partnerships. More than £500 million already processed by the platform.

February 2026

Pizza Hut with FullPlate

A partner in the entity developing the new format in France, inspired by New York-style pizza by the slice. Thirteen restaurants open at the time of the announcement, a hundred and fifty targeted over five years.

Restaurants

Circle Group and Medellin

A Paris collective of upmarket clubs, bars and restaurants, whose first venue is on avenue Marceau. A dedicated investment entity, with capital of up to eight million euros, was created in February 2026.

Hospitality

Take Care

A food supplement brand created in late 2025, which he chairs. A separate investment vehicle, set up with a doctor of pharmacy, holds shares in that company.

New

Shares

An investment fintech where he has been a partner since 2021, not a founder. Around $90 million raised across its early rounds, with Serena and Venus Williams as global ambassadors.

Partner

What IMPORTANT Club actually is

It's the project that best explains his pivot. Worth describing precisely how it works, since it is a paid product.

€2,500 a year
The entry tier, with an investment cap of 25,000 euros per deal.
€5,000 a year
The middle tier, cap raised to 50,000 euros per deal.
€10,000 a year
The top tier, cap of 100,000 euros per deal.

The opportunities cover technology, retail, property and hospitality. The club states that membership carries no obligation to invest, that the legal and compliance side is handled by a regulated partner, and that Taylor Chiche invests in the deals offered himself, on the same terms as members.

One thing deserves saying, without imputing motives: in this model, the subscription is collected whatever the outcome of the deals. That's true of every club of this kind, and it doesn't make it a bad product — but it's what to look at before joining, just as much as the content of the deal flow. Investing in unlisted companies also carries the risk of losing the entire capital.

His real skill

It's not technical, not quantitative finance, not even restaurants. It's the network, the brand, and the ability to put a deal together.

He has never built the product

He didn't code Shares or Incard, he didn't invent Pizza Hut. Every time he brings something else: people, an image, an ability to gather capital. It's the opposite of a Marc Lou, who builds what he sells himself.

He ended up selling the network itself

The move from MentorClass to IMPORTANT sums it all up: yesterday you paid for coaching, today you pay for access. The resource sold is the same, but it's no longer wrapped in a course.

A loop between his companies

He creates or joins a brand, offers the deal to his club, co-invests, then accelerates it through his audience. Take Care illustrates it: the brand on one side, a dedicated vehicle holding shares in it on the other. Akram Junior applies a similar principle in the car world.

His formula is explicit: every step forward comes through the people you meet. His current model is nothing other than putting that conviction up for sale — a holding company, stakes, brands and deals, rather than a venue you operate.

Common questions

What is Taylor Chiche's net worth?

It isn't public, and the figures circulating — ten, twenty, fifty, sometimes a hundred million — rest on nothing. The case is even harder than elsewhere: most of what he holds consists of shares in unlisted companies, whose value can't be observed from outside. Multi-millionaire is plausible; an amount is not.

Did he found Shares?

No. Shares was founded in 2021 by Benjamin Chemla, Harjas Singh and François Ruty. He is a partner and investor there. It's a distinction many articles leave out, and it changes how his career reads.

Does MentorClass still operate?

No. The company was wound up in August 2024 and struck off in early 2025. If you land on a page offering to sign you up, it hasn't been updated in two years. Its successor is IMPORTANT Club, which sells access rather than a course.

How much does IMPORTANT Club cost?

Three published tiers: 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 euros a year, with investment caps of 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000 euros per deal respectively. The club states that membership carries no obligation to invest.

How many companies does he own?

Around twenty are linked to him in the registries, but several are closed. The active or recent entities include his holding company, Circle Group, IMPORTANT and IMPORTANT Club, the Pizza Hut entity, Take Care and two investment vehicles created in 2026.

What's worth watching right now?

Incard. It's the only one of his current projects where he isn't primarily bringing his image but joining a growing technical company, at the moment of a funding round. The result will show whether what he contributes transfers outside the world where he built his reputation.
