Privacy of the ecomstrike extension
What the "ecomstrike — New tab" extension stores, what it sends, and what it does not send. Last updated: 19 September 2026, for version 1.0.0.
In short
The extension works entirely without an account. In that case it sends nothing: everything you write stays in Chrome's local storage, on your computer.
If you link your ecomstrike account, and only then, it talks to the server that already hosts your member area, to read your notes and your domain names and to save the notes you take from the new tab.
No analytics, no advertising, no trackers. No data is sold or passed to any third party.
What stays on your computer
The following is stored in the extension's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device:
your tasks for the day and their state; your intention for the day; the notes you write while your account isn't linked; the background you chose, including an image you add yourself — it is resized and then stored locally; the timer's state and the rhythm you picked; the interface language; your two settings for chaining and notifications.
This data is neither synchronised between devices nor backed up anywhere. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.
What is sent, and only if you link your account
Linking your account is a deliberate action: you open the "Link my account" window and enter your address. Until you do, no network request leaves the extension.
Once linked, the extension exchanges with lisltilfbjutkeiescda.supabase.co, the Supabase server that already hosts your member area on ecomstrike.com. It does four things there and nothing else: it sends your email address so you receive a six-digit sign-in code; it checks your access rights; it reads your notes and your domain names in order to display them; it saves the notes you write from the new tab.
Notes taken before the account was linked then move up to your member area and disappear from local storage. That is the only circumstance in which local data becomes remote data.
No other domain is contacted. The extension does not read the pages you visit, cannot see your history, and holds no permission that would let it do either.
The permissions requested, and why
storage — to keep your tasks, your intention, your background and the timer's state from one tab to the next. Without it, everything would vanish on each opening.
alarms — to keep the focus timer running even when the tab is closed, which is the normal case as soon as you get to work.
notifications — to tell you when a session or a break ends. It can be switched off in the extension's settings.
Access to lisltilfbjutkeiescda.supabase.co — to talk to your member area's server, only after you have linked your account.
The extension requests no permission to access tabs, visited sites or browsing history.
Deleting your data
The extension's settings include a "Clear everything" button that removes the tasks, the intention, the notes not yet transmitted, the background and the timer's state. It touches neither your account nor your member area.
The "Sign me out" button closes the extension's session. Your server-side data remains that of your ecomstrike account, and is managed from the member area.
Uninstalling the extension deletes all of its local storage.
What we do not do
We sell no data. We pass none to third parties. We use it for no purpose outside the workings described above, and in particular not to assess creditworthiness or to grant loans.
