Cookies: this site sets none

No cookies, so no banner. Here's what the site uses instead, and what comes from outside. Last updated: 21 September 2026.

This site sets no cookies

Not one. No advertising cookie, no analytics cookie, no convenience cookie. That's why no banner covers the page when you arrive.

What follows explains what we use instead, and what comes from third parties.

What your browser keeps

Three pieces of information are stored in your own browser, in a space called local storage. They are never sent to a server and don't let us recognise you from one device to another.

ecomstrike-optin — remembers that you closed the sign-up box, so it doesn't reappear on every page. Kept until you clear it.

ecomstrike-via — remembers, for the duration of your visit, that it has already been counted. Cleared when you close the tab.

The sign-in session — only if you log into your member area, so you don't have to enter a code on every page. Kept until you log out.

How we count visits

With no cookie and no identifier. The server builds a fingerprint from your IP address, today's date and a secret value, then keeps only that fingerprint. Your IP address is never stored, and today's fingerprint can't be matched with tomorrow's.

So we know how many different visitors came, and through which domain name. We don't know who they are, or what they looked at.

What comes from outside

The videos. They load only when you click the play button, and they go through youtube-nocookie.com: until you click, YouTube sets nothing. Once you start a video, YouTube may set its own trackers, over which we have no control.

The video thumbnails are images loaded from YouTube's servers as soon as the page appears. They set no cookie, but your IP address is passed to them, as with any image loaded from another site.

The fonts come from Google Fonts. Same situation: no cookie, but your IP address is passed to Google.

How to clear all of it

In your browser settings, under "Site data" or "Browsing data", choosing ecomstrike.com. Everything is cleared, including your session: you'll have to log in again.

Changes

The day a cookie becomes necessary, this page will be changed and dated, and a consent banner will appear before anything is set.
